M8 Can’t Send MMS
ProblemHiya im having trouble sending mms picture messages through text on my htc one m8 please could you help.
Solution: To be able to send an MMS make sure that your phone’s mobile data setting is switched on. You should also check if the APN settings of your phone matches the one that your carrier is using.
To check the APN settings
  • From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap the Connections tab.
  • Tap More networks.
  • Tap Mobile networks.
  • Tap Access Point Names.
Tap on the APN your phone is using and compare the settings with the one your carrier is using. Make the necessary changes if necessary.
You can get the APN settings your carrier is using from its website or by calling their tech support hotline.
If you still can’t send an MMS then restart your phone then clear the cache of your messaging app.
  • Swipe down the Status bar.
  • Tap the Settings icon.
  • Scroll to and tap Apps.
  • Swipe to the ALL tab.
  • Scroll to and tap the application.
  • Scroll to and tap Clear cache.
  • The application cache is now cleared.
M8 Call Volume Issue
ProblemI have one HTC one M8 and right now i am facing some issues. When i make a call i can hear their voice, but they cant hear me. When i use a ear phone it was working, but from 2 days even i cant hear their voice through ear phone. Can you assist me?? Is it microphone complaint or software issues??
Solution: To eliminate the possibility of this issue being caused by the phone software you should perform a factory reset. Make sure to back up your data before proceeding.
  • Press and hold the Power button
  • Tap Power off.
  • Press and hold the Volume Down key.
  • Press and release the Power key to turn the phone on.
  • Continue holding the Volume Down key.
  • Release the Volume Down key when the three Android images appear on the bottom of the screen.
  • Press the Volume Down key twice to move the cursor from FASTBOOT to FACTORY RESET.
  • Press the Power key to perform the master reset.
If the problem persists then this is most likely a hardware related issue. Bring your phone to an authorized service center for further checking.
M8 Bluetooth Issue After Lollipop Update
ProblemAfter updating my Verizon HTC One M8 to Lollipop, my connection through bluetooth got screwy.  If a call comes in while I’m in the car, I can answer it through the car’s built-in bluetooth.  If I want to make a call using the car’s bluetooth, I can successfully dial the call but when the call connects, the phone switches audio playback to the phone instead of keeping it in hands-free bluetooth mode.  I tried uncoupling the phone from the car, and re-establishing the connection, but it did not fix the problem.  Any suggestions?
Solution: Try to delete the Bluetooth connection from your phone then scan for it again and connect to it. Don’t use any special characters when you name the connection.
If the problem persists then do a factory reset. Make sure to back up your phone data before proceeding.
M8 Can’t Change Notification Sound After Lollipop Update

Solution: Try restarting your phone and see if the issue gets resolved. If the notification sounds still do not change then this issue may be caused by a glitch in the software. You will need to perform a factory reset. Make sure to back up your phone data before proceeding.
M8 Music Player Automatically Skips To Next Track
ProblemI was playing my music today on the preloaded music app, first it would skip through the song. Now it will play for a couple of seconds then skip to another track all together. First time I have encountered this.
Solution: Are the songs stored in the microSD card of your phone? If they are then try using a different microSD card with music files stored in it and see if you still experience the skipping issue. Id the problem disappears then this may be caused by a faulty microSD.
If the music files are stored in the internal storage of your phone then try wiping its cache partition.
  • Turn off the device.
  • Press and hold the Volume Down key.
  • Press and release the Power key to turn the phone on.
  • Continue holding the Volume Down.
  • Release the Volume Down key when the three Android images appear on the bottom of the screen.
  • Press the Volume Down key once to move the cursor from FASTBOOT to RECOVERY.
  • Press the Power key to begin the wipe.
  • The device displays the bootup screen followed by a phone with a red triangle.
  • Press the Up Volume key and Power key at the same time.
  • Press the Down Volume key three times to select Wipe cache partition.
  • Press the Power key to initiate the wipe.
  • Wait until the phone displays Cache wipe complete.
  • Press the Power key to select Reboot system now.

M8 Not Charging
Problemhi, sorry to bother you but i saw your email on a sight i have a htc one 8m ive had it since it came out and its just now giving me problems.  the problem is that it wont charge and its not the cord because ive tried like 5 different cords and its always the same were it has to be at a certain spot to charge like the cord does and now just resiliently even when i get it in the right spot it wont word like it shows its charging the light comes on and flickers then the battery thing with the symbol pops up and most the time it just takes a bit and then it shows the percent but now its just stuck and that then after a minute it turns off and ive tried not charging it for a while and also leaving it for a while and it still wont work. please if you can help me message me back i really need it and i really need my phone.
Solution: Check for any dirt on your phone charging port. If you see spot any then try cleaning it with a toothpick or a dry toothbrush. You should also try using a different wall charger and check if this resolves the issue.
If the problem persists then this may be caused by a loose charger port connector inside your phone. You should bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
M8 Lags On Facebook/ Wi-Fi After Lollipop Update
ProblemHi, I had read on your website that if htc one m8 users have any problems regarding our phone we can contact you. Ever since my m8 has got a lollipop, the phone has been completely fine expect for 2 things : 1. My Facebook messenger doesn’t work properly, the app lags 90% of the times, each time I send a new message it takes 10-15 seconds and at this point my phone becomes unusable for that duration which makes the app impossible to use, I’ve tried downloading it and number of things nothing seems to work. 2. I have major problems with my wifi ; A. If I use my phone for the phone first time after 1-2 hours, I have to reconnect to my wifi by typing in my password again and this keeps happening B. Every time my Wi-Fi goes off(if I put it off, or go to airplane mode or restart my phone) it doesn’t function for around 2 minutes, and if I manually go the settings and check the WiFi BOOM the phone lags and stops working and makes using my wifi a 3 minute process. PLEASE HELP
Solution: Since these issues occurred right after a major software update then this may be caused by data from the old software version that is still present in your phone. This is causing a conflict with the new software version and is manifested by these issues. A factory reset must be done in this case. Make sure to back up your phone data before proceeding.
M8 Recorded Video Unsupported
ProblemI have a HTC one m8 and I’ve just been to a concert and recorded many videos with the camera on the phone, and when I got home and tried to view them it said it not supported even though it’s of my own camera?
Solution: I’m assuming that the video file is stored in the microSD. If this is the case then the recorded file may be corrupt due to a faulty microSD card. Try inserting a new microSD card to your phone then record a video. Check if you can playback the recorded video. If you can playback the video then you should consider replacing your original microSD card.
If you can’t playback the recorded video even when using a different microSD card then I suggest wiping the cache partition of your phone since the problem may be caused by a corrupt temporary data.
M8 Not Playing Movies
ProblemHi, I have a question that I have not been able to see address anywhere.  I have an HTC One M8.  It will not play movies.  I have tried every converter I can, using the MP4 format.  They don’t play.  Upgraded to a Class 10 miniSD card, still won’t play.  Have tried everything even recording directly on the miniSD card without success.  Funny thing is, some that played the first time did not later, and vice versa.  I paid a hell of a lot of money for this phone and would really like to know how to get my movies to play on my HTC One M8.
Solution: To eliminate the possibility of this being caused by a glitch in the phone software a factory reset is highly recommended. Make sure to back up your data prior to performing this procedure.
