Posted by All Tutor Flashing Rom on Sunday, March 1, 2015

To install Android L on your Moto E click here.
Only Custom ROM's have functions ? No......
  • Custom ROM's come with many beautiful functions and User Interface which is impressive, but few people want stock ROM [because it is usually stable].
  • What if Someone want stock ROM & functions, User Interface, modifications from custom ROM ?
  • Solution to this is Xposed Framework & yes it's available for lollipop too !!
  • Thanks to rovo89 !

Xposed Framework!

Xposed is a framework for modules that can change the behavior of the system and apps without touching any APKs. That's great because it means that modules can work for different versions and even ROMs without any changes (as long as the original code was not changed too much). It's also easy to undo. As all changes are done in the memory, you just need to deactivate the module and reboot to get your original system back. There are many other advantages, but here is just one more: Multiple modules can do changes to the same part of the system or app. With modified APKs, you to decide for one.

Modifications that impressed me....

  • Change the brightness of your phone by just swiping status bar!
  • Change the status bar background [i.e put a custom Image]
  • Change status bar background's transparency
  • Add remove tiles from Quick setting !
  • When someone calls put your phone on silent by just turning it upside-down [NO need to press anything :-P]
  • Add the RAM usage bar in recent usage apps
  • Instead of clearing apps one by one in recent window, add a button to clear all the recent apps in background.
  •  Add functions to few apps which require xposed framework, e.g. Greenify !
  • Change color of status bar icons, adjust clock position etc.
  • Add CyanogenMod Pie Controls
  • Add Lockscreen tweaks
  • Add Screen recording,Display tweaks,Power tweaks..
    And this list continues.....

All this without flashing custom ROM & just modifying your Stock ROM.

For now you can't uninstall the framework, but this will be solved as soon as possible.
Xposed Framework is stable for now & It's safe to install.
    [No guarantee of bootloops :-P]

To install Xposed follow the steps :-
    1. Go to this link and download the Xposed Installer 3.0 alpha apk & also download xopsed arm zip.
    2. Requirements:- Lollipop, custom recovery(eg- TWRP), root.
    3. Take a backup in twrp (Just in case)
    4. Flash the xposed framework arm.zip through twrp
    5. [IMPORTANT] Wipe cache and dalvik cache after flashing framework (Wipe data NOT required)
    6. Wipe dalvik cache and cache or else you might have trouble.
    7. Reboot to system.
    8. (reboot will take a long time especially the optimization of apps so don't worry and think of it to be a bootloop)
    9. The apps on sd card will be missing for some time it will appear in some time (15 to 30 minutes).
    10. Install the Xposed framework.apk
So that's it, try installing modules and modify your phone :)
