Samsung has officially announced Gear 2 and Gear Neo to their smart wrist watch line, but this time with Tizen Os and option out Android. Now let see how these smart watches differ from each other.
Display
The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo feature the same 1.63 inch display that supports a resolution of 320 x 320 which is same as their predecessor Galaxy Gear.
Hardware
Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo have 1ghz processor which is slightly higher clock speed as compared to 800mhz clock speed of their predecessor. In terms of Ram there is no difference between Gear 2, Gear Neo and Galaxy Gear as all of them have 512 MB Ram.
Design
There is not much of the difference between these two smart watches as Samsung Gear 2 coming in with 36.9 x 58.4x 10.0 mm, and weighting 68g in comparison to Gear 2 Neo, which measures 37.9 x 58.8 x 10.0mm, but is 20% lighter at 55g, which will make a fairly big difference for some people and for some of us this is not a huge difference. However, both are thinner than the original, which came in at 37.9 x 58.8 x 10.0mm and weighed a whopping 74g in comparison. The main upgrade between the new two and the original is the band strap which will allow users to adjust the strap on their Gear 2 as well as Neo and Gear 2 are IP67 certified which makes them water and dusk resistant.
Battery
In terms of battery Gear 2 and Gear Neo packed 300mah which is slightly lower than 315mah battery of Galaxy Gear and at some extent this can be one of the main point involved in light weight of Gear 2 and Gear Neo 2. However Samsung claim battery last upto 3 days if you use them in low power.
Connectivity & Sensors
Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo have heart rate sensor, pedometer, infrared for Samsung Watch On , dedicated music player, S Voice, Bluetooth 4.0.
Camera
The big difference between two devices is camera as Gear 2 packs 2.1 mp camera whereas Neo missing a camera feature in it which we have in their predecessor.
