If you get "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and Reboot" after installing and launching Xposed framework (download @ http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.a....installer ) then follow the steps below
1. Tap The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and Reboot
2. Select OK

3. Tap Install/Update

4. Tap Grant

5. Tap OK to reboot

6. The error message should now be gone.

# Note
If the error persists then
* Ensure to install Busybox on the phone
* Do a soft reset instead of a hard reset
* Ensure that /system is mounted and set to RW
