LG OPTIMUS G PRO 5.5 INCH 1080p DISPLAY, 1.7GHz QUAD- CORE PROCESSOR: WORTH TO BUY OR ITS WORTH TO WAIT FOR NOTE 3 ?

SCREEN

LG has now issued the full tech spec of its forthcoming Optimus G Pro, the latest 5.5″ True HD-IPS + LCD Android model will arrive with a 1920 x 1080 resolution 1080p display which supports 401 ppi (pixels per inch). This seems to us quite impressive as compared to its competitor Note 2. LG has made a smart effort in making the screen of this device edge to edge, so all the dimensions look proportioned.

HARDWARE

As well as that hefty screen the Optimus G Pro is quite well proportioned internally, running an impressive and powerful Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon clocked at 1.7GHz, alongside 2GB of RAM  and this all going to run on an Android 4.1.2 OS. Gpu is clocked at 320 with the help of Adreno and works perfectly fine for gaming.

DIMENSIONS

This is a area where you may think that LG has made a wise step by giving LG Optimus Pro 5.5 edge to edge screen, LG has managed to decrease its dimension as well as its weight as compared to Note 2, but couldn’t able to manage the thickness of its phone. LG Optimus Pro G 5.5 measures 150 x 76 x 9.4mm and only weighs 160grams. Therefore, these measurements tell us that LG Optimus Pro G 5.5 is similar in the height, its width is 4.5mm squeezed and it is 20 grams lighter than Note 2.

INTERNAL STORAGE

Optimus Pro G has 32gb of internal memory in it with a micro sd card slot which will take upto 64gb of sd card (some areas might not get sd card slot).

BATTERY

LG Optimus Pro G has monster 3,140mAh removable / wireless charging capable battery which seems to me pretty impressive and similar to Note 2.

CAMERA

Optimus Pro G has 13mp Camera on the back with a LED Flash which is obviously up to the mark and on the front it has 2.1mp camera.

FINAL VERDICT

LG Optimus Pro seems to me a quite interesting phone but it lacks few of the things that Note has in it, for example there is no S- Pen capability in Optimus, it hasn’t got motion sensors that we have on Note 2. However, there is no doubt that it will give a serious competition to Note 2 because of its impressive hardware, camera and screen.
Tell me in your comments what do you people think about Optimus G Pro 5.5, is it worth to have it or its better to wait for Note 3.
